Teaching and Vocal Coaching

 

I’m a highly experienced teacher and sought after coach of Early Music and teach historical performance practice to both individuals and groups. My teaching studio focuses on voice, chamber music and basso continuo coaching. I also teach harpsichord in one-to-one lessons to both advanced players and newcomers to the instrument.

I all too often hear of people speaking about “Early Music” voices. My own feeling, and that which I encourage, is to think of Caccini planting the seed of Belcanto.

In addition to teaching and coaching on purely musical matters, I also coach harpsichord students on quilling skills, especially using historical materials such as crow feathers, and in temperament and tuning matters.

I’m available to teach individuals, groups and master-classes.
